Classic CardGen 4-step wizard for print-ready cards. Flagship print path in 3.9.0.

How it works

1. Card information — Fill active fields from card_fields (name, profession, email, phone, website, company, location, logo, and any extra slugs). Upload a company logo. Optional CSV/Excel import (checkbox): sample file /files/card.csv with header name,profession,email,phone,website,company,location. Import builds multiple people for a batch print.
2. Choose design — Browse portrait and landscape templates. Click a layout to select it.
3. Review — Check copy, quantity (how many cards to tile), download a single card as PNG.
4. Print preview — Tiled pages (print_area). Print uses the browser print dialog. Download rasterizes the print area to PNG.

Defaults for logo/background come from Global settings when you do not upload images.

Setup

• Ensure gd is enabled (PNG export).
• Seeded/active card fields control which inputs appear. Inactive fields are hidden.
• Custom saved cards appear under Admin → Custom cards.

Tips

• Match printer orientation to portrait vs landscape templates.
• Turn off browser headers/footers in the print dialog.
• Put a QR on the back that opens /link/{slug} or a digital card URL.

Use case

A shop prints 500 cards: import CSV → pick landscape template → quantity 10 per sheet → Print.
