Privacy Policy

This is how the store actually uses your information — accounts, checkout, licenses, tickets, and quote requests. Not a generic template.

Who we are

Softentra (“we”, “us”) is a marketplace for licensed web applications, plus custom development when an off-the-shelf product isn’t the right fit. This policy covers the storefront, your account, checkout, and the forms you send us.

Questions about your data? Use Contact or email hello@softentra.com.

What we collect

Only what this store needs to sell licenses, support them, and reply to you:

  • Account — full name, email, hashed password, and optional two-factor authentication secrets (encrypted at rest). You can update name and email from Profile.
  • Orders — billing name and email from your account, the products and license type you bought, coupon and wallet amounts, and payment status. Card credentials are entered on Stripe — we never store them.
  • Licenses — license key, Regular or Extended type, support expiry, and activated domains (including the IP used at activation) so you can manage slots from Account → Licenses.
  • Wallet — store credit balance and a ledger of credits and debits (including refunds returned as wallet credit).
  • Cart and wishlist — items in your session cart, and wishlisted products (with a price snapshot so we can email you if the price drops).
  • Support — tickets, replies, and contact-form messages (name, email, subject, message). Quote requests also include company, role, project type, budget range, timeline, brief, and optional file attachments stored on a private disk.
  • Reviews — the rating and text you leave on a product, shown publicly with your display name.
  • Usage — standard server logs and the session cookies needed for login, cart, and checkout. Search queries you type on the site are used only to return results.

How we use it

  • To create your account, keep you signed in, and let you reset your password.
  • To process checkout (Stripe or wallet), issue license keys, and provide downloads and version updates.
  • To apply coupons, wallet credit, and support renewals.
  • To run license activation and validation (including the public license API your installed product may call).
  • To reply to tickets, contact messages, and quote requests.
  • To show reviews and to stop spam (rate limits and a hidden honeypot on the contact form).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising or analytics pixels on this site.

Email we send

We send transactional mail only — no newsletters. That includes:

  • Order confirmation and license key after a paid purchase.
  • Refund notices when a refund is processed.
  • Ticket replies and ticket status changes.
  • Password reset and email-verification links.
  • Wallet balance changes when we credit or debit store credit.
  • A reminder when product support is close to expiring.
  • A price-drop notice if a product on your wishlist gets cheaper — stop those by removing the item from your wishlist.
  • Status updates if you submitted a quote request.

Who we share with

  • Stripe — to take payment and to process refunds through the same gateway you paid with.
  • Email delivery — so the transactional messages above actually arrive.
  • Hosting — the servers that run this store and store your account, orders, and files.
  • Staff — admin and support users who handle orders, tickets, quotes, and refunds.

When you leave this site to pay, Stripe applies its own privacy policy on its checkout pages.

Cookies

We set a session cookie (login, cart, checkout) and a CSRF cookie (form security). If you check “remember me” on login, we also set a remember-me cookie. See the Cookie Policy for names and how to block them.

How long we keep it

  • Accounts without purchases — you can delete the account yourself from Profile. That removes the account record.
  • Accounts with orders or licenses — we keep them. Orders and licenses have to stay attributable for downloads, activation, refunds, and accounting, so self-service deletion is blocked. Contact us if you want the account closed; we can disable login and stop non-essential mail while retaining the order history we are required to keep.
  • Cart session — typically 120 minutes of inactivity, unless you stay signed in.
  • Quote attachments — kept with the request on a private disk until the engagement is finished or you ask us to delete them.
  • Contact messages and tickets — kept while they are useful for support history, then archived or deleted in the ordinary course of operations.

Your account and rights

You can view and update your name and email, enable two-factor authentication, manage licenses and activations, download purchases, and open or close tickets from your account.

To correct something you cannot edit yourself, export a copy of your data, or ask us to close an account that has purchase history, contact us from the email on the account. We will not delete records we need to honour a license, a refund, or a legal obligation.

This store is not directed at children under 16.

We may update this policy as the store changes. The date at the top of this page is the current version.
